Our
Red Cross Mission
The American Red Cross,
a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its
Congressional Charter and the fundamental principles of the
International Red Cross Movement, will provide for and respond to
victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and
respond to emergencies.
Disaster preparedness and response,
Services to Armed Forces (SAF), and Health & Safety courses are
requirements for each American Red Cross chapter to be chartered.
Our chapter also offers a Blood
Services program where local bloodmobiles are held both at our
fixed donation site at Geisinger Medical Center each week, and
also at a variety of community locations.
